City of Jacksonville Beach offers flood zone info to REALTORS®

The City of Jacksonville Beach Planning & Development Department can provide flood zone information upon request for properties in Jacksonville Beach. FEMA recently updated the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) for Duval County. The new maps became effective on November 2, 2018.

To request flood zone information on a property, please have the legal description, street address, and/or real estate number when you contact the City. If an exact determination cannot be made, the reference number of the FIRM Community Panel that shows the property can be provided. Copies of elevation certificates for developed properties in flood zones are also available for most properties built since 1990 if the structure was in a flood zone when constructed.

Contact the Planning & Development Department for more information at 904-247-6231 or email them at planning@jaxbchfl.net. You can also direct customers to the City’s Flood Map Information Flyer located on the main page of the City’s website at www.jacksonvillebeach.org. You are encouraged to provide potential property buyers with flood zone information and the insurance requirements of purchasing a property in a designated flood zone.
