Appraiser Membership

Membership as a REALTOR® is open to professionals working in the real estate industry, including those who are licensed or certified as appraisers. By becoming a REALTOR®, appraisers gain the ability to apply for Multiple Listing Service (MLS) participation, which provides comprehensive access to MLS data and services. This includes detailed information on active, sold, expired, and withdrawn listings, as well as access to statistical reports and third-party public record aggregators.

How To Join

Thank you for your interest in joining the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR). 

  1. Review the membership types below to determine which applies to you.
  2. Download the respective application packet for your membership type.
  3. Once completed, email the signed application to Membership@nefar.com

Appraiser License Types

The following license types are eligble to join as a REALTOR member.

How To Renew

On December 1 an invoice for the upcoming year is posted to all current Appraiser members’ account. The invoice is due on or before January 1.
  • December 15 – The first reminder will be sent to each member who has not paid their dues.
  • December 31 – A final reminder will be sent to each member who has not paid their dues.
  • January 11 – All member services (access to MLS and eKEY if applicable) will be terminated. To reactivate your membership you will need to send an email to membership@nefar.com

The application packets include everything you need to join NEFAR and/or realMLS, including the required forms and dues information.

Education Benefits For Appraisers

NEFAR offers all 30 hours of appraiser CE credits for license renewal. This includes:

Many appraisers have real estate licenses as well. Three of the appraiser classes that NEFAR offers have dual CE credit (example: 4 CE Hours Appraiser Credit and 4 CE Hours Realtor Credit).

The National Association of REALTORS® offers an Appraisal Designation Program, allowing REALTOR® Appraiser members to earn designations such as RAA (Residential Accredited Appraiser) and GAA (General Accredited Appraiser). These designations are awarded to those who surpass the minimum education and experience standards set by the Appraiser Qualifications Board of The Appraisal Foundation.
