GARD 2026: Florida REALTORS Unite at Capitol to Advocate for Real Estate

GARD 2026

Each year, REALTORS from across Florida gather in Tallahassee to make their voices heard. Great American REALTOR® Days (GARD), scheduled for January 20–22, 2026, is your opportunity to stand up for your profession, your clients, and the future of real estate in Florida. When Realtors speak, legislators listen. That influence shapes policies that impact every corner of the industry.

Held annually at the Florida State Capitol, GARD brings thousands of REALTORS gather together for an immersive, eye-opening experience. It’s a chance to meet face-to-face with lawmakers and provide real-world insight before critical decisions are made. Legislators rely on the expertise of REALTORS to understand how proposed bills will affect the housing market, property owners, and communities across the state.

This is not just an event. It’s your moment to advocate for the issues that define your business. Lawmakers review these issues during the legislative session, and your voice ensures they fully understand the impact of their decisions.

REALTORS who participate in GARD help shape meaningful, lasting change. In past years, REALTOR advocacy has played a pivotal role in legislation that:

  • Helps hardworking Floridians purchase their first home
  • Significantly reduces the state sales tax on commercial leases
  • Gives homeowners avenues to harden their properties and lower their insurance premiums
  • Enhances water quality in Florida’s springs, lakes, beaches, and waterways
  • Supports recovery and reform within the state’s property insurance market
  • Caps excessive community association fees
  • Provides new tools to close open or expired permits
  • And so much more

Great American REALTOR® Days is more than an event, it’s a movement. It’s where professionals come together to ensure that Florida’s real estate industry continues to grow responsibly and sustainably. By participating, you’re not only representing yourself, you’re amplifying the collective REALTOR® voice.
