New Members

New Member Orientation

Orientation is a mandatory online class for all primary Realtor® members of NEFAR. Secondary members are not required to attend NEFAR Orientation since they should have already completed Orientation through their primary Realtor® association.

Scheduling

Upon joining as a primary Realtor® member, you will be emailed a link to activate your student account for orientation. The email should arrive 24 – 48 hours after you have paid your dues to join NEFAR.

Agenda & Requirements

To meet the NEFAR New Member Orientation requirement you will need to complete the following online courses within 90 days of joining NEFAR.

  • Orientation (self-paced / avg. 2-3 hours)
  • Code of Ethics (self-paced / avg. 3 hours)

IMPORTANT: If you fail to complete the NEFAR New Member Orientation within your 90-day period your membership will be made inactive and you will forfeit your membership application. To rejoin you will need to complete the required training and pay the $250 application fee again.

Course Completion Certificates

Upon individual course completions, you will be able to retrieve a certificate of completion (see the quick links “Completion Certificates” in your account dashboard). Please retain these two certificates for your own records. NEFAR is automatically notified of course completions, so you will not need to send a copy to NEFAR.

REALTOR® Pins

You will receive your REALTOR® pin in the mail to the address on file in your NEFAR member record, usually within 4 weeks of completing both portions of the NEFAR New Member Orientation (Orientation & Ethics).
