Help Keep Northeast Florida Beautiful During NEFAR’s Clean Up Northeast Florida Waters Events

2026 Waterways Cleanup

NEFAR is inviting members, families, friends, and community volunteers to participate in Clean Up Northeast Florida Waters, a two-part initiative taking place this July as part of the statewide Florida Realtors Clean Up Florida Waters campaign.

This annual effort brings REALTORS together across Florida to protect and preserve the waterways that make our communities such special places to live, work, and play. This year, NEFAR has set an ambitious goal of collecting 10,000 pounds of trash throughout Northeast Florida, and every volunteer can help make a difference.

The first cleanup event will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 8am to 11am in Putnam County and surrounding areas. Crystal Cove Marina & RV Resort in Palatka will serve as the host site, with additional cleanup locations including Lake Santa Fe Boat Ramp, Lake Brooklyn Boat Ramp, Lake Geneva Boat Ramp, and Rodman Dam. Volunteers are invited to celebrate their efforts afterward at an after-party hosted from 11am to noon at Crystal Cove Marina.

The second cleanup event will be held on Saturday, July 18, from 9am to noon across Duval, Clay, and St. Johns counties. Volunteers can choose from several cleanup locations, including Black Creek Marina & Boat Ramp, Lion’s Club Boat Ramp in Arlington, North Riverwalk/Sidney Gefen, Wayne B. Stevens Boat Ramp in Ortega, Bert Maxwell Boat Ramp, and Helen Cooper Floyd Park in Mayport. Following the cleanup, participants are invited to gather for an after-party at the NEFAR Resource Center from noon to 2pm

In addition to cleaning shorelines, parks, boat ramps, and waterways, volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with fellow REALTORS while giving back to the communities they serve. Private boat owners interested in helping remove debris from uninhabited islands along the St. Johns River are encouraged to meet at the Lion’s Club Boat Ramp in Arlington at 8am on July 18.

Whether you participate for a few hours or recruit a team of volunteers, your efforts will help create a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations. Join thousands of REALTORS across Florida this July and help NEFAR make a lasting impact on Northeast Florida’s waterways.

Registration is now open for both cleanup events.
