Southwest Area Council Hosts Informative “All About Clay” Breakfast

The Southwest Area Council gathered members and affiliates for the annual All About Clay Breakfast on September 18 at Sister’s Reception Hall in Fleming Island. With 115 registered attendees, the event offered a dynamic morning of community updates, networking, and engagement over a full breakfast.

Guest speakers representing key areas of Clay County—Chereese Stewart, Paul Bement, Tracy Drake, Crawford Powell, and Joe Bucci—shared valuable insights on topics including school growth, property appraisals, crime statistics, infrastructure projects, and economic development. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from these local leaders and to ask questions during interactive Q&A sessions.

Overall, the event was a valuable forum for keeping members informed about the county’s ongoing growth, development, and community progress.
