Delacruz and Le win NEFAR’s first pickleball tournament

Joe DelaCruz and Vin Le of United Real Estate Gallery were the winners of “Battle of the Paddles”, NEFAR’s first pickleball tournament hosted by its Commercial Alliance of REALTORS, Beaches Council, and Ponte Vedra Council. The action took place March 7 at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The 14-team single elimination tournament featured 28 NEFAR members. DelaCruz and Le won the tourney and its $300 cash prize by defeating Vladut Bujoreanu of SVR Realty LLC and his teammate Timothy Horvath of Bold City Property Management 11-5 in the final round.

Twenty-three spectators turned out to cheer on the competitors. Food from the Village Bread Café food truck and a free drink was offered to all who participated.
