In late August, NEFAR’s Community Affairs Task Force Chairman Margarita Cavanagh and Vice Chairman Rae Laws received a very special thank you note from Marcus Haile, CEO of The Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida. Mr. Haile expressed his thanks for the $5,000+ amount of school supplies that were donated to his nonprofit by NEFAR’s REALTORS during the first two weeks of August.
Check out Mr. Haile’s note below:
“In our Learning Lab last week, we made supply bags with various?items from your donations and handed them out to students who were coming in that day. It was also a day that we had representatives from the mayor’s office visiting, and we were able to give you all a shout-out for your activity with the mayor’s office. Most of the rest of the supplies were organized into “take out packs” that our volunteer tutors have been coming by throughout the week to pick up and take to students they are tutoring.?“
“Thank you again! It has been so much fun to make these available to the students, and they have all been so grateful.”
