NEFAR members gathered Sept. 25 for the association’s Annual Fall Business Meeting, which featured a special presentation exploring Jacksonville’s history through the lens of real estate, architecture and neighborhood development as part of NEFAR’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Local historian Wayne Wood took attendees on a journey through Jacksonville’s past, sharing stories about the people, places and developments that helped shape the city and communities throughout Northeast Florida. His presentation offered members a deeper appreciation for the neighborhoods they serve and the history behind the places their clients call home.
The presentation highlighted how Jacksonville and Northeast Florida have evolved over the years, examining the forces that have influenced growth, property values and neighborhood identity across the region. By looking at the area’s development through a historical lens, members gained additional perspective on the communities that make up Northeast Florida today.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to reflect on NEFAR’s three decades of serving the local real estate industry and the continued role REALTORS® play in the growth and development of the communities they serve.
