Community Affairs Task Force 2023 Waterways Cleanup on 07/08/23. On July 8, 300 REALTORS gathered at eight different clean-up sites along the St. Johns River to take part in NEFAR’s Third Annual Clean-up Northeast Florida Waterways event. More than 3,300 pounds of trash and debris was collected and disposed of! Five derelict boats were removed from the river as part of our Waterways clean-up. Each boat weighed about 10,000 pounds, making the grand total of trash removed from the river at 53,300 pounds. Florida Realtors goal this year was to remove 10,000 pounds of debris from waterways all over the state. With NEFAR’s help, they have accomplished this goal and then some.
