NEFAR volunteers removed over 6,000 pounds of trash during the 2026 Waterways Cleanup, helping protect waterways across Northeast Florida through community service.

NEFAR’s Trash Challenge and waterway clean-ups aim to keep Northeast Florida’s waterways pristine, involving community-wide trash collection and exciting prizes.

For the entire month of July REALTORS® from throughout Northeast Florida and their community partners will be working to make sure Florida’s waterways remain in pristine condition.

More than 200 REALTORS®, friends, family, and members of the public gathered at 11 different clean-up sites throughout Northeast Florida to take part in NEFAR’s Second Annual Clean-up Northeast Florida Waterways event.

A crew of 60 members from Northeast Florida’s real estate community descended upon the St. Johns River in NEFAR’s annual Clean-up Florida Waters event July 24.
