Southwest Area Council Hosts Annual Fall Golf Tournament

The NEFAR Southwest Area Council brought members and affiliates together for a day of golf, friendly competition and networking during its Fall Golf Tournament on Oct. 15 at Eagle Landing Golf Club. The annual event welcomed approximately 95 attendees, including golfers and volunteers, for an enjoyable day on the course.

Participants kicked off the morning with a Chick-fil-A breakfast before heading out for the tournament. The registration fee included greens and cart fees, door prizes, contests and a boxed lunch, with appetizers provided by Eagle Landing. Sponsors also had opportunities to connect with members throughout the day by hosting tables at designated holes.

In addition to the tournament itself, golfers competed in a variety of contests, including men’s and women’s closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive competitions. Winners were recognized for first-, second- and third-place tournament finishes, along with the individual contest awards. Raffles and door prizes added to the festivities.

The Southwest Area Council’s Fall Golf Tournament continues to be a popular annual tradition, offering members and affiliates an opportunity to build relationships and enjoy friendly competition in a relaxed setting.

The council’s next golf tournament is scheduled for March 25, 2027. Before then, members can look forward to the Southwest Area Council Holiday Party on Dec. 18 from 12pm to 3pm at Timuquana Country Club. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy to support the event’s toy drive.
