The Mandarin and St. Johns Area Councils joined forces on September 10 for “Rockin’ with the REALTOR® Party,” bringing NEFAR members and affiliates together for an evening of live music, networking and support for the REALTOR® Party. Held at The Rickhouse in the Julington Creek area, the event offered attendees a chance to enjoy a night out while making new connections and supporting RPAC.
Local Jacksonville band Tangled Orchid took the stage with classic rock covers that had attendees singing along and dancing throughout the evening. The Rickhouse’s bourbon bar provided the perfect setting for members to relax, enjoy two complimentary drinks and connect with fellow real estate professionals.
The evening’s activities were designed to encourage members to step outside their comfort zones and meet people they may not have crossed paths with before. Upon arrival, attendees received a poker chip that randomly assigned them to a trivia team, creating opportunities to build new connections through friendly competition.
An ice breaker challenged participants to interact with five other members by asking questions about drink preferences and recommendations. The first four participants to complete the challenge received alcohol prizes, adding an extra incentive to mingle.
Jessica Flavell spoke about the importance of RPAC, and members also heard from the Mandarin and St. Johns Area Councils’ annual sponsors. A silent auction featuring alcohol bottles and other prizes gave attendees another opportunity to participate while supporting the REALTOR Party. Trivia winners received Mandarin Area Council tumblers, gift cards and tickets to the NEFAR Business Meeting.
The event brought together a mix of NEFAR members and affiliates for an evening of entertainment, networking and fundraising. Attendees shared their appreciation for the live music and the opportunity to form new connections through the evening’s activities.
With strong participation and positive feedback, the councils also look forward to joining forces again for Friendsgiving at Marywood on November 10.
