The Historic Area Council, joined by the Commercial Alliance of REALTORS, combined professional networking with community service during the Rooftop Mixer & School Supply Drive on July 16 at River & Post. The event welcomed app REALTORS and affiliate members for an evening of connection, collaboration and giving back, all while supporting a local school ahead of the new academic year.
Attendees were encouraged to bring school supply donations to benefit Highland Estates Academy, with each donation earning participants an extra raffle ticket. The generosity of members resulted in a substantial collection of school supplies, demonstrating the council’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community while fostering meaningful relationships among real estate professionals.
Despite warm temperatures and early rain, members turned out in strong numbers, creating a lively atmosphere. Throughout the evening, members had the opportunity to enjoy gorgeous views of the city, network with colleagues, reconnect with familiar faces and build new professional relationships. Jacksonville City Council Member Rory Diamond was also in attendance, adding to the event’s strong community presence.
Council leaders Christi Jensen, Kalica Lee, Eigene Calabrase and Chrisie Sanchez thanked attendees and sponsors for their support, highlighted the importance of the school supply drive and recognized Golden Dog Title as the event’s drink sponsor.
Guests enjoyed an assortment of appetizers and refreshments, including bacon-wrapped shrimp, crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, fresh vegetables and desserts.. HWA Home Warranty also sponsored a raffle prize that was awarded during the event, with an additional raffle held during the school supply donation presentation at Highland Estates Academy on Aug. 6, where multiple members came together to drop the supplies off to the school principal.
