In Memoriam – Annie McAfee

In Memoriam - Annie McAffee

NEFAR mourns the passing of Ann “Annie” Coleman McAfee, who passed away on July 5, 2026, on her 88th birthday.

A respected leader in the Northeast Florida real estate industry, Annie co-founded Northeast Florida’s RE/MAX Specialists alongside her husband, Bob McAfee, helping build one of the region’s most successful and influential real estate companies. Throughout her career, she was known not only for her professionalism and leadership, but for the genuine care she showed every person she met. Annie believed in the potential of others, mentoring countless real estate professionals and encouraging them to achieve more than they believed possible.

Originally from Dinwiddie County, Virginia, Annie began her career as an educator before marrying Bob in 1963. Following years of military life, travel, and raising their family, they made Jacksonville their permanent home, where they established deep roots within both the community and the real estate industry.

Those who knew Annie will remember her warm smile, generous heart, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether sharing a meal, celebrating life’s milestones, or offering words of encouragement, she created lasting connections and friendships that extended far beyond business. Her legacy is reflected not only in the company she helped build, but in the lives she touched through her kindness, mentorship, and unwavering belief in others.

Annie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” McAfee; her children, Matthew (Seana), Michael (Susie), and Katherine (Nathan); her 10 grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. A reception will immediately follow at Timuquana Country Club.

NEFAR extends its deepest condolences to Bob, the McAfee family, the RE/MAX Specialists family, and all who had the privilege of knowing Annie. Her legacy of leadership, generosity, and service will continue to inspire the Northeast Florida real estate community for generations to come.
