Expand your Business Globally with the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Designation

CIPS

The world of real estate is rapidly evolving, with buyers and investors looking far beyond their local markets. In Jacksonville, where global clientele are becoming more common, real estate professionals must be prepared to manage international transactions with precision and confidence. That’s where CIPS comes in!

Why Earn the CIPS Designation?

The CIPS designation is the only international designation recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). It equips REALTORS® with the expertise to handle global real estate transactions. Global real estate deals are significantly more complex than domestic ones. They demand an understanding of international business practices as well as cultural practices. The CIPS program provides you with the knowledge, tools, and resources to navigate these complexities.

What You’ll Learn

CIPS designees must complete five full-day courses covering the core elements of transnational transactions. Topics include:

  • Currency and exchange rate issues
  • Cross-cultural relationships
  • Regional market conditions
  • Investment performance
  • Tax implications
  • Visa and legal considerations
  • And more

Upon successful completion of the courses, you’ll satisfy the educational requirement to apply for the CIPS designation and proudly market yourself as an international property expert.

NEFAR will be offering the CIPS institute this summer! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to earn your designation through a 5-day institute in June 2025, because it does not come every year:

  • Pricing:
