The NEFAR Nominating Committee is now accepting applications for officer and director positions on the 2026 NEFAR Board. In addition, qualified REALTOR® members are encouraged to apply for open positions on the realMLS Board of Directors and as a National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Director.
Serving on the NEFAR Board of Directors or as an officer is more than a leadership role—it’s a reflection of our collective commitment to integrity, progress, and active member involvement. These elected leaders are instrumental in setting the strategic course of the association, making key decisions, and ensuring that NEFAR continues to support its members while upholding excellence within the real estate industry.
Candidacy for a Board or officer position offers an exceptional chance to shape the direction of NEFAR, champion the advancement of the real estate profession, and create meaningful impact within the community. It’s an opportunity to lead with purpose, contribute innovative ideas, and help steer the association toward continued success and relevance in a rapidly evolving industry.
Prospective candidates must meet the qualifications outlined in Article XI of the NEFAR Bylaws (see below) and the NEFAR Policy Manual, including the Standards of Conduct (see below). All applications must be completed, signed, and submitted by midnight on Sunday, May 11. Late submissions will not be considered. Applications can be found below as well.
Applicants are required to submit a resume or brief biography highlighting their leadership experience. Alternatively, they may provide comprehensive responses on the application questionnaire. Be sure to clearly indicate which position you are applying for: NEFAR Officer, NEFAR Director, realMLS Director, or NAR Director.
