Nearly 200 members attend NEFAR Annual Meeting at Marriott Jacksonville

When Ben Kjar addressed a room of nearly 200 members of the Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® during the association’s 2022 Annual Meeting on October 26, he told them they were a powerful, inspirational, and hardworking group with the ability to “change everything.”

Kjar was born with craniofacial sysostosis, Crouzons syndrome, a complex genetic birth disorder that affects a child’s face, skull, and teeth, yet he refused to be a victim of his genetic deformity. By rising above it, he has excelled to become a “victor” athletically, professionally, personally, and financially. He was a NCAA Division 1 Wrestling All-American and has performed as part of the USA wrestling team. He has also made his mark in real estate by flipping nearly 200 properties and compiling a rental portfolio of almost 100 multi-family rentals and three storage unit complexes within the past six years.

“You are known by the next decision you make at your darkest time,” he told the spellbound audience. Then Kjar shared a statement promoted by Tony Robbins, which he said has become his daily mantra: “Now I am the voice. Now I am the voice. I will lead, not follow. I will believe, not doubt. I will create, not destroy. I am a voice for good. I am a force for God. I am a leader. Defy the odds. Set good standards. Step up. Step up. Step up.”

Kjar’s inspirational talk was the perfect capstone to a fulfilling annual meeting where 20 new EDGE™ Professional Society members were recognized, NEFAR President Mark Rosener introduced his leadership team and spoke about a long list of accomplishments the association has attained this year.
